For the last 4 or so years I have focused on traditional art materials, painting acrylic on canvas and drawing mainly abstracts, then I started cutting up my sketch book pages and going then onto canvases, gluing cut out paintings and drawings onto canvases and walls.

Now I’m at a stage where I am enjoying writing, using words to create stories and express thoughts and feelings, as well as using photography, video and vr, focusing on each in its turn and exploring exciting ways to cross and collage media, beyond the genre and category restraints that I feel often holds artists back.

I’m trying to keep things as open as possible, by not thinking too much about other people’s expectations or traditions in regard to the making of my work, I’d rather make those decisions after finishing, then decide what to put where, under what genre or category of media, or artistic style.

It is an exciting and unpredictable way to work, but it is the most inspiring for me.
