Wei Ling Hung art installation at Mud Studio

The exhibit was a kinetic work by Wei Ling Hung, which looks at the relationships between people in a village in Thailand, translating this to fans, bells and strings, below is a short video and here is a link for more details about her work.

The strings are blown by the fans, floating and interacting with each other. The strings each move separately and also together, bumping each other and getting stuck sometimes, the bells ringing randomly, they could represent big events in the community maybe.

The exhibition was based at Mud Studio in Yilan City, Taiwan. What a lovely group of people, 3 visual artists, a dancer and a musician, thanks Wu Henry for letting me use the photo.

I am hopefully going to be doing an installation at Mud Studio in the coming weeks, so hope to share that with you soon, thanks for reading, Sam.
