“Distraction”

Collage, acrylic, paper, pen, pastel, on panel 35 x 33cm

This piece started about a year ago, I find time is very helpful in my process, and even a short time away or working on another piece is very beneficial for my art works.

The initial acrylic on board was a layering of; first organic elements, then a patterning of repeating circles and a spiral. Recently I added a figure drawing, which had been created during an on the street “one line drawing” session in London, which I cut and pasted as the main focus, observing for a while allowed me to decide on the white paper shards, I feel it is complete, but I am still observing.

I would be really interested to know what you think about this work, art making for me is a communication and the sharing and feedback is a big part of the process, please comment with your insights.

Thanks for looking, Sam.
